“Anzoa” Madelene Kajusa is a first-year master of education student at Thompson Rivers University. She is a first-generation South Sudanese Canadian, and her roots are from the Madi people of South Sudan. She is also interested in revitalization, language, migration, intergenerational trauma, Indigenous ways of learning and knowledge and much more. In her free time, she likes riding her bike, watching movies, fashion design and arts and crafts.
Third year Thompson Rivers University nursing students have partnered with Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society and Kamloops Pride to develop a culturally responsive mental health guide for Indigiqueer Two Spirit 2SLGBTQA+ individuals.
